| Dear John, You are just going to have to come bye to see the good results of your generosity. Having installed major projects in your lifetime, I am sure you have had those that had greater visual impact, but I cannot believe that you will have installed any that had a greater symbolic value. Without your contributed carpet, our office would not have been as welcoming as it is currently. you have helped us to move forward as we attempt to continue our good works. There was a time that I was somewhat embarrassed to ask people for assistance. Now, having seen the products of the R. Merle Palmer Minority Scholarship Foundation, I cannot think of a better cause. I may even be a bit selfish, knowing that many of our Palmer Scholars will be returning to their communities as educated citizens and that we will all benefit. I enjoyed having met you and hope you find as much satisfaction in your act of kindness as we do having been the beneficiaries. Thank you. Be of good cheer,
